This movie that is coming out is a child hood book. I never read it, never heard of it until this last Fall semester. We had our homecoming theme for school and it was children's books. One of the groups' theme was Where the Wild Things are. I was so confused and wondering what the heck was going on. I asked one of my friends and she didn't know either. So, a couple of weeks ago my boyfriend was like you have to see this trailer... this movie is going to be awesome. This is what he showed me off of youtube:
It is so awesome! I love watching the imagination of this boy run wild. I think that all kids so have an imagination like him. Quite frankly I wish I did still. I have so much going on in my life, I have to be an adult and think about real things a lot. GRR. I wish I could go back to being a kid. BUT- I do enjoy the segments in my life as well.
This movie is going to ROCK! Can't wait to see it!

The Song that Changed my life
Thinking back to the days before I knew what life was really all about, before worries really hit me, I began singing songs of Celine Deon.
"That's The Way It Is"
I can read your mind and I know your story
I see what you're going through
It's an uphill climb, and I'm feeling sorry
But I know it will come to you
Don't surrender 'cause you can win
In this thing called love
When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is
When you question me for a simple answer
I don't know what to say, no
But it's plain to see, if you stick together
You're gonna find a way, yeah
So don't surrender 'cause you can win
In this thing called love
When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is
When life is empty with no tomorrow
And loneliness starts to call
Baby, don't worry, forget your sorrow
'Cause love's gonna conquer it all, all
When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is
When you want it the most there's no easy way out
When you're ready to go and your heart's left in doubt
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is
That's the way it is
That's the way it is, babe
Don't give up on your faith
Love comes to those who believe it
And that's the way it is

This is one of those that I remeber dancing around in my pj's with a bunch of girls that just got out of the swimming pool. All of our hair is wet and we are using hair brushes to sing to it. WOW memories. I wish I had a picture to put up here for that. Oh well. This is one that I think changed my music love. :)

The Lollapalooza Headliners!!
Announcing: Beastie Boys, Depeche Mode, and Jane's Addiction
As this music fest takes over in August as one of a huge mainstream showing! Anyone who wants to see these bands rock the show needs to be there! This article is quite the humor when it comes to who was announced for this years music fest! Check it out!
"Expected Lollapalooza Headliners Announced" article by Michael Lopez
What I thought was most interesting was the talk about Jane's Addiction. That back in 1991 Lallapalooza was actually created for the farewell concert with the lead singer. Now this year it is going to be a rock out show with them! So applause needs to be handed to the promoters of Lollapalooza and to get all these nice headliners to show up!
Go forth and ROCK OUT!

Seeing Laura Gossett at Cafe Plaid
I don't know who has checked out Laura Gossett yet, but she is climbing the charts on my music list of favorites. She is as good or better in concert as she is on her CD and myspace. I think my favorite song of hers is lie. It makes me laugh and talks about boys and their stupidity sometimes. I'm not sure that I am allowed to say that out loud as I am dating a boy. BUT- anywho, If you haven't checked her out yet, go do so today! Comment on her myspace and tell her Traci sent you there!!

Twentyfour64

Listening to all the bands that Platform is allowing us reps to listen to, I would have to say that twentyfour64 is my favoirte. It is new fun and I could see myself rockin' to it in the car. Superboy is one of my new favorite songs. It has a great beat and keeps you listening. They have some great vocals. They came from Hawaii and now are in LA playing music and pursuing their dream. Support these guys! Go to their myspace page: http://www.myspace.com/twentyfour64.
Consider their cries, is a beautiful song. It is a song song but yet has a few pick me ups that I enjoy. I could definitely see them being the nest big thing!

These six guys are wanting their dream to come true. Get out there and help them out! The music business is really tough right now. They need all the support they can get! Check them out on Itunes as well. Buy a ringtone or the album "Know Me." They are amazing so start listening NOW!!
I mean it NOW! Stop reading and go download!

The Dream Line Up...
A music concert is only as good as the line up. Each genre has to stay in the same connection to make the line up good. Looking at my top ROCK bands of all time... I would say my dream, line up would be- Deep Purple, The Who, and then the Beetles. For the Hip- Hop Genre I would say... Incite, T-Paine, Snoop-Dog. That would be awesome! :)
For my jazz concert, I would have to say this is probably the hardest one. I know for sure that Miles Davis would be my headliner, for my opener I would pick Norah Jones and then my mid would be Ella Fitzgerald. Oh man... I would love to be there for that one.
For a concert genre of my own.... I would pick bands of Pop. I would love Laura Gossett to open with, throw in a litle N'Sync and then Matt Wertz as the headliner. This is a little different but I would love this!!
check out some differenct genres here:

Concert Series Listening Party!
I had such a blast this week! I got to meet an awesome girl named Sarah. She has such a heart for music and this industry, she is so fun to talk to. She was so nice to work with. She allowed me to go into her meeting and let me share music with her committee. They had great things to say. I got to meet some awesome people who love music and hope to continue in the entertainment industry.
They loved the bands: twentyfour64 and Pinestripe 45's... I can't lie, I am pretty in love with them too!
This committee is going to be great to work with! I can't wait to see what happens in the future. I can also see one of them taking over my job! : 0 But for the good! haha
